The Jonesborough Genealogical Society, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was created in 1990 to foster interest in preserving family history.
January thru October, the Jonesborough Genealogical Society hosts monthly Genealogy Days with featured speakers or group visits to local attractions, Quarterly Genealogy Workshops, and Genealogy Help Nights on the 2nd Thursday of each month. MARK YOUR CALENDAR - June 2026
Thursday, June 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm - Genealogy Help Night at the Washington County Public Library, 200 Sabin Drive, Jonesborough hosted by the Jonesborough Genealogical Society. Whether a beginner or an advanced researcher, bring your research and questions. JGS volunteers will be available to answer questions and help you find research resources. This event is free and open to the public.
Saturday, June 13th at 10:30 am - JGS Genealogy Day and Annual Meeting. The presentation will focus on Revolutionary Land Grants, Pensions, and researching relatives that fought in the American Revolution.
